Tell us what you are trying to do?

Is it possible to use Toolset Forms to collect email addresses before showing the download button of Simple Download Monitor? In more detail, I'd like to capture email address, first and lastname, company, and country on the page created by Simple Download Monitor for a download, and then when a visitor clicks the button, the download of the file starts, while all the information has been stored.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
This shows how to create a mailing list: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/how-do-i-create-e-main-subscription-forms/

Is there a similar example that we can see?

Hello and thank you for contacting Toolset support.

I am not familiar with the Simple Download Monitor plugin. But, I assume that it provides a shortcode to generate the download link, right! In that case, you can create a form to collect the needed data, and put the download shortcode in the message area. Check this screenshot hidden link

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

Hi Jamal, thank you for looking into it. Actually, the download page itself is automatically generated. I can even edit its template with Toolset. That was also why I thought I could add a form onto the template so that the file only can be downloaded once the email and other details are provided.

If you look at https://toolset.com/forums/topic/view-doesnt-update-fields-to-include-in-the-loop/#post-2132133, you'll find the login credentials so that you could also take a look.

Please advise,
June

Hello June,

I am sure you will understand that I am not familiar with the plugin. Can you provide a URL to a download page? Or can you tell me the steps I can follow to get to such a page?

This is an example of the download hidden link

It'd be absolutely cool, if i could add a Toolset form to the view template.

Jamal is on vacation. This is Minesh here and I'm stepping in to help you further.

I see with another ticket you shared the updated that you are using another download manager plugin. Do you still need further help here?
