I am trying to:
Use a custom URL format. I need to add a parent page to any post type I create.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
hidden link

I expected to see:
The page I created

Instead, I got:
a 404

Hi Wilson,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Would you mind allowing me to have admin access to the site so that I can have a look to see what is happening here.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Wilson,

The user role provided was not an admin user. I need to have admin access in order to check on the permalink settings, however I suspect the problem is caused by the Custom Permalinks plugin.

I will also need to investigate further. We don't recommend modifying the permalinks beyond what is provided by the wordpress default because custom permalink rewrite rules can be tricky to handle.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane, I deactivated the custom permalink. It was not being used. It didn't solve the problem, unfortunately. I gave you admin access. Please let me know once you find the issue.

Thanks!

Hi Wilson,

This should now be working now.

All I did was to remove the custom structure and re-add it which essentially refreshed the permalink for the post type.

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane
