Good morning,
About two years ago, we worked on a project using Toolset 2.6.1. The PHP version at the time was 7.4, and we have now migrated to another server with PHP 8.4. Many things are failing, specifically critical errors on the website. We need to know how to properly migrate from Toolset 2.6.1 to 3.1.3.

Should we just unzip the files directly on the FTP?
Should we deactivate Toolset and install the new version?

The site is complex and contains many forms, custom post types, etc.
Will any of this be lost?

Thank you.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

First of all, you should take full backup of your website and database, so in any situation you will have a backup to restore.

Once you have a backup, I suggest you should setup a stating/test site that should be 1:1 copy of your current site and there you should try to upload latest Toolset plugins.

Could you please send me debug information that will help us to investigate your issue.

Also, are you able to switch to PHP version 8.2.x or 8.3.x and do you see it working with latest Toolset plugins?

Hi,
I can´t send you the debug information because wordpress says this:
There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

I can't register Toolset 🙁

Any help?

That is strange.

Can you first setup a staging site that should be 1:1 copy of your production/live site and send me admin and FTP access details.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
