Tell us what you are trying to do?
Upgrading my existing Toolset Types plugin version Version 2.3.5
I want to just update to the current to keep my site up to date and have access to support.
If I just install the new version 3.4.15 from the .zip file, will it just keep the existing settings and custom post types?
Thanks for advising
Paul

Hi Paul,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Given that you're coming from such and older version of Types then you will need to perform a manual update by using the zip file.
If I just install the new version 3.4.15 from the .zip file, will it just keep the existing settings and custom post types?

Yes your existing settings will remain intact .

Thanks,
Shane

Hello Shane, thanks for this. So, to do a manual update, can I use the WP dashboard/plugins/add new/ upload plugin and upload the zip file? If it's not that simple, could you point me to some instructions? Thanks again! Paul

Hi Paul,

Yes if you're running the latest version of wordpress it should allow you to overwrite the existing files so you can perform the update by going to Plugins -> Add New and uploading the zip file.

Thanks,
Shane
