Tell us what you are trying to do?
We recently changed the domain from flagstaff.ab.ca to flagstaff.ca. The proper changes were applied to the WordPress configuration and database, but issues arose with Toolset.
We have cleared caches in Toolset for the Views, and globally using Redis and WP-Optimize. Neither have resolved the issue.
We can view the individual listings (hidden link) from the business directory, but cannot use the alpha listing pages.
Is there any documentation that you are following?
No
Is there a similar example that we can see?
No
What is the link to your site? hidden link. As you can see no alpha listing data is being displayed on this page.
The process was moving the WordPress installation from one directory to another on the remote server. For example, I moved the WordPress installation and all related files from /var/www/flagstaff.ab.ca to /var/www/flagstaff.ca. After that, I updated the WP_HOME and WP_SITEURL values in the WP configuration file. Next, I ran the following UPDATE queries (excluding the GUID) listed here hidden link. I have used these queries numerous times successfully when moving WordPress sites from local to remote and development to production.
I followed your steps on your help article, which are pretty much the same as WP Beaches. I ran your three queries and all three returned zero matches. I tried with hidden link and hidden link. Both are variations on the old domain that were present in the database tables at some point.
No other plugins are functionality in WordPress seem to be having issues with the changeover.
I did notice after the domain name change, Toolset had de-selected the business listings post type for each of the existing views. I went in re-selected them, but this did not resolve the issues.
Sorry, but I am not installing another plugin to do something that is clearly not needed. Only Toolset has failed and your support should help assist as it is paid commercial plugin.
Can you please send me admin access details as well as tell me what is your expected result on the following URL:
- hidden link
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
I have resolved this situation on my own using a local instance of the website. The instance was using a backup prior to the domain change, though I know this was not the main culprit.
When I compared settings for the Toolset views from the backup and the current site, many of the parameters had changed for no reason in the WP admin. These included post types and taxonomies, and pagination settings. To me this looks like a bug in Toolset as none of the other plugins installed on the website had settings changes when the domain was updated.
It will be hard to pay for a subscription renewal for your plugin when issues like this arise.
Well - I'm not sure what's went wrong without investigating further and I do not see any other user recently reported such issue. But I'm glad to know that you are able to make it working.
Toolset support is always ready to help and we can do our best to help you out, please feel free to file a new ticket if you find any issue in future.
