Tell us what you are trying to do?
I have a shortcode provided by MINESH, to duplicate a custom post called Objet :
- the duplication ix based on a php function also provided by Minesh, and works perfectly
- BUT, the permalink of the new Objet, created by the duplication, is set to : copie-slug-of-the-source-objet
- then, when changing the Title of this new Objet to for example new-objet, the permalink/slug stays the same : copie-slug-of-the-source-objet.
Is there a similar example that we can see?
- see the attached screen shot of the Objet editing form template
First, can I caution you not to post sensitive information in the forum unless we have set up a private reply for you to do so. I have edited your question to remove the site credentials you shared.
Regarding your question, can you clarify the workflow?
It looks like you are using a custom shortcode to add a duplicate post link to the front end, and then you have a function that redirects to the copied post once it is duplicated.
You ask "when changing the Title of this new Objet...".
I am sorry, but I opened this ticket because I was not shure that reopening a previous ticket handled by Minesh actually worked, because it was after the deadline...
Fortunately, the reopening did work, and Minesh di find a solution for this issue of updating the custom type slug when submitting it's editing form.
So, this ticket can be closed.
