I'm using Types, Access and Views on about 50 sites (dev an prod). I just found out by accident, that all Toolset plugins on ALL sites are outdated. No updates are shown on the pages /wp-admin/plugins.php and /wp-admin/update-core.php. The updates only appear AFTER I hit the Check-button on /wp-admin/plugin-install.php?tab=commercial.
Why do the updates not appear on the regular plugin and update pages?
When we release a batch of plugin updates we only release the update to a limited percent of clients, so that if something goes wrong with a release we can intervene before all clients are affected.
In the Blocks 1.6 round of updates there were several issues that quickly emerged and hence we help off on releasing the updates to all clients.
We fixed those issues with hotfix updates earlier this week, and if nothing new and serious emerges we will be releasing the updates to all client sites over the coming days.
You can skip this with the Check for Updates button.
I don't use the Blocks plugin yet. Primarily, I see the problem with the Toolset Types plugin. All Types plugins on all my websites are on v3.4.10 from May 17, 2021 and none of the WordPress installations show that there are updates available (3.4.11 from July 21, 2021 and v3.4.12 from August 30, 2021). Same with Access and Views. I know, views is a legacy plugin but but updates show still pop up if they are available.
Manually checking and updating all 50 websites is pretty time consuming ... 🙁
Sorry, I didn't mean the Blocks plugin specifically, I meant the batch of plugins that accompanied the Toolset Blocks 1.6 release.
Types 3.4.11 was released at the same time (and 3.4.12 was released this week).
In the next few days the percentage of clients that see the updates will be increased so that you will see the plugin update notifications (for all plugins) across your sites, without the need to use the Check for Updates button.
Hello there! I would like to add that you can always check the latest versions on the download page, and the changelog page of each plugin. https://toolset.com/account/downloads/
If you force the "Check updates" manually on one site, you can get the latest versions. Then, you can check on each site. In any way, you will have to log in to the sites in order to perform the update.
We are aware, that's probably a tedious task if you have many sites, but that also has its benefits, as we can address issues and publish new versions accordingly.
