[Resolved] Understanding relationships

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

In my past I designed SQL databases. When creating relationships between tables you always had to define a common key field. In toolset you select two CPT to connect and I presume this is creating a relationship between their database tables. What determines the connecting fields between the two and can that be changed?

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - Toolset stores the relationship content using custom Tables added to the database.

I would suggest you to check your database and chech the following tables and try to understand the structure.
=> toolset_associations
=> toolset_relationships
=> toolset_type_sets

What determines the connecting fields between the two and can that be changed?
=> Relationship is actually setup between two post IDs, you can obviously Disconnect it using GUI.
