Tell us what you are trying to do?
In a View i need to have a search filter as accordion. I have done this using view classic editor and working fine.

The problem is I set the search filter as : Full page refresh when visitors click on the search button , As i use the custom save search to save the URL of the search result as the post type so i don´t want to have search filter as AJAX.

The sorting control come under the Search and pagination and it work after the submit button(thats the logic i understand) but i want to have sorting as AJAX and search filter as Full page refresh when visitors click on the search button.

I tried some method but i can´t get it. When i tried accordion in Block editor it not working with filters. Is it possible to have accordion in block editor?

I cant find any document for this.

Please guide me how to set this ajax for sorting in classic editor.

Thanks in advance,

Hi there,

Unfortunately, that is not possible as the Serch Filter and Sorting are part of the same feature that uses Ajax or uses full page load.

You can not differentiate between them as the designated place in legacy views use both search and sort as one box.

In the Block Editor the Custom Search Fields are separate blocks like the one I showed in the screenshot attached using the navigator.

So if you can find a plugin that gives you accordion block then you can add the blocks and move the search filter blocks under them and that might do the work for you if you want an accordion?

Maybe Kadence blocks can be an alternative for that:

Thanks.
