I am trying to:
Hide members-only pages
Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
hidden link
hidden link
I expected to see:
I expected these pages to be hidden, but when a user has a direct link, or finds them on google, they can see them. I have taken control of almost all post types, and made them not viewable by guests, then made two pages have a different setting, so that they can be seen by everyone (home page and contact / join), but they are still visible directly. I have also double checked it in kproxy, so it's not a caching issue.
Instead, I got:
I can see them when I have direct links, or via google search too!
Hi, that is strange, because the Competitions page seems to be blocked for Guests as expected. Can you try these troubleshooting steps first?
- Temporarily switch to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen, then deactivate all plugins except Types, Views, and Access.
- Test again.
- If the problem was resolved, reactivate your theme and plugins one by one until the conflict is revealed
- If the problem was not resolved, I'll need to take a closer look. If it's okay with you, I will install the Duplicator plugin and create a clone of the site. Then I can install that locally so I can watch code execution and determine the source of the problem.
