I've been trying to set the sort order for an archive of custom posts in descending order by either/both:

- Post date (I have adjusted the post dates to reflect the order I want)
- Menu order (I have set the menu order to reflect the order I want)

I have tried with a simple order and with a secondary order, but the output is always the reverse of what I want (from oldest date/lowest menu order to highest).

In the end, I filtered by custom taxonomy ("year") so it outputs only this year's posts.

Not that it helps, but here's a link to the custom archive (that includes the "year" custom taxonomy for filtering):

I think this should be straightforward but am thinking I must be missing something.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Can you please share admin access details and let me review your structure and also tell me what is your expected results.

Do you want post date ASC or DESC and what about menu order ASC or DESC?

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.

Could you please check now: hidden link

I've disable/deactivated the post type order plugin and I can see the results as expected.

Thank you, Minesh!

I didn't even realize I had had that plugin installed.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Cheers
