[Resolved] Unable to add a new city or connect to an existing city
This support ticket is created 3 years, 10 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.
This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.
Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.
No supporters are available to work today on Toolset forum. Feel free to create tickets and we will handle it as soon as we are online. Thank you for your understanding.
Add a new city or connect to an existing city cannot be clicked.

I suspect the issue here is that you've perhaps set a limit on your relationships. If you go to Toolset -> Relationships and edit your relationship, check to see if you've set any limit on the relationship because once the limit is met then you cannot connect any new posts to that Parent/Child.
Have a look at my screenshot. Can you let me know if you're seeing this setting on your relationship edit page.
Can you send me a screenshot of what you're seeing on your end. If the settings don't have any limit on them, would you mind allowing me to have admin access to the website so that I can have a look at this for you?
I've enabled the private fields for your next response. Also please send me a link to a page where the relationship isn't working.
Thank you for the credentials. I'm able to see the issue now.
Can you delete the relationship in the Toolset relationship section and then remake it to see if the option starts showing up on the posts?
If not would you mind allowing me to grab a copy of this live site using the duplicator plugin so that I can perform a more detailed test here locally?
I de-activated the relationship Provicies Steden (inactive) and I added a new relationship with the same name Provicies Steden (active) although adding or connecting a city is still impossible for the 2 vakexperts hidden link
and hidden link. You can take a copy of the site and investigate further, the duplicator package is allready installed in admin panel. Don't work in the live site! Do you need admin panel credentials?
Unfortunately i'm unable to create the backup with the duplicator plugin given that the site is quite large as well as the duplicator plugin doesn't work to create the copy.
Are you able to provide a copy of the site that I can use to deploy the site locally or are you able to create a staging site from your server?
Please let me know so that I can check the issue for you.
Yes I did as an attempt to create the copy but the site is larger than 1gb so that option won't work to create the copy. The All in One migration plugin doesn't allow you to import sites greater than 1gb.
As explained in our other tickets we would need to disable all the non-toolset plugins and start there as to see why the relationship is allowing you to connect a new post.
We aren't even able to see the option on the post itself to connect the posts.
SO disabling the plugins and delete the relationship and remake it will allow us to see if a plugin conflict is causing the issue. Alternatively you can try connecting the posts types to a different relationship and see if its an issue with the Post Type itself.
In this case we want to check which post type doesn't get the relationship information added.
There is one more method that I can try to get a copy of the site and that's a manual backup. I would need to install a few plugins, namely WP Database Backup and the WP Downloader.
Please let me know if I can go ahead and install both of these plugins.
I must apologize for the delay in getting this resolved for you, however I do have some very welcoming news.
Turns out the issue is limited to the 2 already created posts under Vakexpert. On the copy of the site that I have locally I created a new post under the post type and I was able to successfully connect it to the Parent post. None of the buttons are greyed out like on your 2 posts.
So in your case creating a new post and ensuring that it has a post title should produce the same results. I do however notice that on your 2 posts i'm unable to edit the post titles, i'm unsure of the cause of that but try creating a test post to see if your results are the same as mine.
