Hello,

How do I turn off dynamic sources for core blocks and other block plugins? I do not want editors to have options to add dynamic sources.

Unless I missed it, I did not see it in settings.

Thank you.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to disable the dynamic sources as this is a core functionality of our Blocks plugin to offer the dynamic sources.

Thanks,
Shane

Interesting. I have Block disabled and I'm using Views. So it appears Views also adds the dynamic content to core (and other blocks) whether desired or not. Disabling Views removes the dynamic content options from blocks - but, of course, I need Views (or Blocks) for what I'm doing.

Is this as expected? Has no one else asked about making that an option (at the user level would be best). Any suggestions?

Hi Peter,

This is expected as views and blocks are the same plugins. Views just has the block editor option disabled by default.

It is actually the first this query has come up to my knowledge. This is more a feature request right now since there isn't any solution for it.

To open a feature request you will need to go to the link below.
https://toolset.com/home/contact-us/suggest-a-new-feature-for-toolset/

From there you will need to provide as much detail about the feature as possible.

Once you've submitted the feature request it will be reviewed by our team and assigned a priority based on user requests for said feature.

It should be noted as well that this can take a bit of time to go through the entire process

Thanks,
Shane
