trying to built a custom search on bases of assigned category

I am trying to create a custom search on bases of category assigned.
I am trying to replicate this page "hidden link"

i am not sure how to select category as filter.
Is there any option where i can select parent category and all its child categories displays automatically ?
i got 4 different categories House size | plot size | price | storey

i want any of all of teh category selected to filter records.

=> Well - there is no such feature exists that you can add dependent filters like (you select category and it will display associated sub-categories).

However, you can add as many filters (either custom field or taxonomy filter) as you want.

Another way I would suggest is to use our free test platform http://www.discover-wp.com and create a test site using any of available reference site we offer and try to play with it. This will help you immensely to setup your structure and help you to understand how views with custom search are made.
