Tell us what you are trying to do?
I would really like to add a discussion forum (with multiple topics) to the page for a specific custom type. Ideally, it would also be set up to create the forum when a post is created.

I assume it means figuring out how to create the Forum, getting the id for the forum and then inserting that into a shortcode on the page.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
I can't really find anything specific to this. I found a plugin that created a topic when a post is created, but I need a full forum per post. I could not find anything in the support forums here that addressed it, so I've got my fingers crossed that someone might have done this before.

Is there a similar example that we can see?
Not really. You can see the end result of what I want on my site here: hidden link
But this is with a manual implementation.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

There is no such native solution exists - you may be able to create a normal forum, please check the following related ticket where we shared the solution.
=> https://toolset.com/forums/topic/create-a-discussion-forum-using-toolset/#post-919806

To implement such a custom solution as per your requirement, its possible but may need lots of custom programming that is beyond the scope of our support policy. I suggest you should try to find a plugin that fits into your needs.
