I have two keys listed under the account: One for the live site, one for the dev. When I copied over the new site - it transferred the development key. I tried to update the key to the current site key and it stated it was invalid.
Is there any documentation that you are following? no
Is there a similar example that we can see?

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
What you should try to do is, you should delete the existing site keys you creeated from your account:
- https://toolset.com/account/sites/
Then, click on the link "Get a key for this site" that shows with the screenshot you shared, that will allow you to create a new site key for your current site and try to copy/paste that newly generated site key.
