I created a custom post type name "Translator" and everything has been working fine for years. All of a sudden the deleted translators have disappeared. My client deletes translators when they are inactive and then removes them from the trash when they are active (not the best workflow - I know). Now the trash is gone. I have attached a screenshot for you.

Thanks,
John

Hi John

The trash link only appears when there are items in the trash.

I took my screenshot immediately after trashing a custom post, and so now the trash link appears, indicating that there is 1 item in the trash.

Are you saying that it is not possible to send items to the trash?

If that works and you try trashing something and it then appears in the trash, everything would be working as normal (as it is on my site with the current plugin and WordPress versions).

If you were expecting to find something in the trash that isn't there, it looks like someone accidentally emptied it. (Or perhaps a clean-up plugin or batch process automatically emptied the trash.)
