Hi, I have may site built in spanish with Divi+Toolset. Now I'm traslating it to english using WPML. I have a custom post type, tours, to show the tours in views in the site. I've realized that when I started translating a page with a view, it's showing only the translated tours. I think that this makes sense, but I have more than 230 tours to translate and I would like to show all of them regardless of the language. You can see it in the home page: hidden link in spanish, scrolling a bit, and in hidden link in english.
Is possible to do what a I want to do? Thanks in advance
Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
Can you please share details on what page you added the view as well as admin access details.
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
This is Christopher talking over this ticket. Usually by going to WPML > Settings > Post Types translation and selecting the middle option for the tours post type it will show the non translated items in the list.
But for some reason as soon as I select the middle option, the page does not show at all. Seems to be a conflict of some sort.
Would you please test by doing the steps below?
- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Switch to the default theme such as "TwentyTwenty" by going to "WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > themes".
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins" and deactivate all plugins except Toolset Types, Toolset Blocks, WPML Multilingual CMS and WPML String Translation.
- Check the middle option for the tours post type in the WPML settings.
- Create a page as a test and use the views block to add the view there without Divi builder and see if the issue still shows.
- Make sure you translate the page.
Hi Cristopher, sorry, I've been really busy these last 2 days. Ok, I'll test it on a stage site, I'll try to test it without the uploads folder because it's a really huge site. I'll try to do it tomorrow, tell you if it works. Thanks for your time
