[Resolved] Toolset will not update – using DIVI

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The user is unable to update their toolset plugin and is getting the error below when they have Divi installed.

"failed!log in to your Elegant Themes account and navigate to the Account > API Key page. Learn more here. If you still get this message, please make sure that your Username and API Key have been entered correctly ()"

Solution:
This was actually a known issue in the older version of our types plugin, namely version 2 of Types.

To results this a manual update of the Types plugin is required so that you can get the latest version of the installer plugin. You can download the latest version of the plugin by going to the link below.

I am trying to: Update Toolset to current version

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: Plug-in page

I expected to see: Toolset updated after I entered key, clicked download and activate

Instead, I got: "failed!log in to your Elegant Themes account and navigate to the Account > API Key page. Learn more here. If you still get this message, please make sure that your Username and API Key have been entered correctly ()">

However, I HAVE entered the Elegant Themes info correctly because I was able to update the theme.

Hi Heather,

Thank you for getting in touch.

This issue was actually resolved in one of the updates to our toolset plugins.

I would suggest updating to the latest versions as I see that you are currently running version 2.2.22 of Types and version 2.5.2 of views.

Updating should fix this issue.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Heather,

Have you tried performing a manual update by downloading the update?
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

Since you are using such an old version of Types then the automatic updates won't work, so you will need to install the latest version of Types first.

Thanks,
Shane

Thank you for your help. I ended up rolling back to the last time I didn't have an issue and was able to get it working.

I do need to upgrade, but will do that after the client's season is over and I have time to troubleshoot. I believe part of the issue is GoDaddy's managed wordpress .
