[Resolved] Toolset Views can’t be edited as administrator – permission denied

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

I encountered an issue where I could not rename newly created Toolset Views on a fresh WordPress install. Clicking "Save" resulted in a "You're not allowed to perform this action" error, making the page uneditable. Additionally, I was unable to upload Views to the website, though other Toolset content uploaded successfully.

Solution:

Manually downloading and reinstalling the Toolset plugins from https://toolset.com/account/downloads/ resolved the issue. This ensured that the latest version, including any recent hotfixes for WordPress 6.7.1, was properly installed. If the issue persists, testing in a minimal environment (default theme and only Toolset plugins active) can help identify conflicts.

I tried to edit the names of my newly created Toolset Views on a fresh WordPress Install. But as soon as I clicked on "Save", I got an "you're not allowed to perform this action" alert and the entire page is uneditable. I can't recall the exact error message.

It's also not possible to upload view to the website. Other Toolset Content could successfully be uploaded. The Views upload without error message, but no view is created

Hi,

Would you please test the steps below?

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Switch to the default theme such as "TwentyTwenty" by going to "WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > themes".
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins" and deactivate all plugins except Toolset and its add-ons.
- Check if you can still recreate the issue.
- If not, re-activate your plugins one by one and check the issue each time to find out the plugin that causes the problem.

Also please make sure that you download toolset plugins manually from the website:

https://toolset.com/account/downloads/ (click the download Toolset manually link)

And upload it to your installation even if the version is the same as we lately released some hotfixes for the WordPress version 6.7.1

Thanks.

After manually uploading the plugin files the issue seems to be resolved
