Hi, I need to build a real estate website using Elementor PRO for layout and templates, and Toolset for the dynamic stuff ( custom post types and fields, advanced search, maps, contact form for each listing etc..)
I downloaded and Installed all Toolset modules but I realized that if I activate Toolset Blocks and Toolset Views my layout in elementor is not visibile on the page ( I get a blank page in View mode, while if I'm in edit mode I see all the widgets etc...)
If I deactivate these two plugins, everything is ok on the frontend.
Maybe it's not a big problem, because I want to build the whole templates part with Elementor Pro, since I'm more familiar with it, while it's the firts time I'm using toolset. But I dont' know if maybe I will need to use "Views" for something ( I'm not so deep into it so far) like custom search or search result.
So far I just made the custom post type with its custom fields, and I'm building the "static" version of the frontend.
hidden link > this is a draft of the home page (it's completely static now)
on the attached image, how I see the same page if I activate Toolset Views and/or Toolset Blocks
please let me know if there's a solution for this.
Toolset Blocks and Toolset Views cannot be activated at the same time, these are practically the same plugins, so one will automatically deactivate.
I suggest using Blocks for new or less advanced sites, and Views for legacy or more advanced sites.
When you use Elementor you must ensure that NO Content Template is assigned to any Post.
These should instead by styled by Elementor directly (your posts).
Then, IN Elementor's edit screens you can add Toolset items like Content Templates, and dynamic inputs.
If you see no template applied in the front end, no output at all, when Views/Blocks and Elementor are used, it is usually because you assigned some Content Template to a post or many posts.
If the assignment is then revoked, that should solve the issue
Hi Beda, thank you for your reply and sorry for being late in my answer.
Ok I see.
I can confirm that I had a toolset template assigned to my custom post "Annunci" but I removed it now, but unfortunately my front end is blank as well.
I've only activated Toolset Views right now, since my next step would be creating a custom search (something like this hidden link - even if I would like to have the search form and the search results not necessarily in the same page .. I don't know if it's possibile) However I still need to solve the problem with Views and Elementor together because my frontend still appears blank . Please have a look at the toolset dashboard to confirm me that I removed the Toolset content template. ( The highlighted part is where I removed the template that I've found... )
If I deactivate Views, the frontend with Elementor blocks and templates comes back ok
So what else could I check?
I would like to check on this blank page in some further details if possible, so I will be activating the private fields so that you can provide me with the admin credentials.
Secondly you can have the Search Bar and results on separate pages.
In the video here hidden link you will see in the view widget "Custom Search", you have the option to insert the Search bar only or the Results only.
Insert the search on on the page you want to add the search to and then set which page is the results page. On the results page you will select Insert Results only.
now the front end is visible, but just try to go on the plugin section and activate Toolset View and then come back to home page so you'll see what I mean.
Thank you so much
I'm brand new to Toolset, and am using Elementor. The documentation says to use Toolset Views with Elementor. I see I can use either Views or Blocks, but not both. When I look on the Toolset downloads, I see that Views is a 'Legacy' plugin. Beda, when you say 'more advanced sites', what do you mean? Is the Views plugin still more powerful than the Blocks plugin? Which should I use?
