I would like to update my older version of toolset types (3.4.14), in an old website.
I've just bought the new version. What I'm supposed to do next. I wouldn't like to uninstall my old version, just to update.

Hi,

Please make sure that you have a complete backup of the website before following the steps below:

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Make sure you are signed in toolset.com.
- Go to https://toolset.com/account/downloads/
- Click the "Download Toolset manually" link to show the rest of the plugins on the page.
- Download the latest version of the Toolset Types and blocks plugins.
- Install them manually on your website using the method below:

Thanks for your quick response!
I've already downloaded the toolset types, and I know how to install plugins from dashboard.
The problem is that I have already installed an older version, and I didn't want to uninstall.
Is it ok to just install a fresh copy (just upload and install the new version) without uninstall the old one?
I was thinking that it will maybe try to install the plugin in the same folder and will broke my site.

Hi Natalia,

If you use the 6+ version of WordPress, the system will detect that and ask you if you want to replace the new version with the older one with the same folder name.

And you can say yes and go forward.

I can not stress enough that please have a complete backup of the website before doing so to avoid any sort of surprises.
