We used Toolset to create a directory of resources on our site more than a year ago. During development we noticed from time to time that the pages using Toolset would randomly present using the default Divi theme and not the child theme used on the site but this would be resolved by a simple page refresh.
However, it has returned and seems to be sticking this time even after we have cleared the cache .
Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
That is really strange behavior. Can you please make sure you are using latest Toolset plugin version.
Before I check your setup - in order to minimize the cause of the issue as well as to ensure there is no conflict form the Third-party plugin you are using or any cache (server/plugin/browser):
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
Could you please try to resolve your issue by deactivating all third-party plugins to check for any possible conflicts with any of the plugins?
- Do you see any difference?
What if you setup a test site with the same themes (parent+child) and setup a test page and see if you able to reproduce the issue with this test site setup on different host?
If none of the above step helps:
Can you please share problem URL where I can see the issue as well as admin access details.
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
I can't provide access at the moment - sorry, I know that is not ideal but I no longer work on the site on a daily/regular basis and have just re-engaged to troubleshoot this problem ... while away their hosting provider has changed their login process but I will try to sort out access tomorrow during UK office hours.
What I can do is share a couple of quick images to demonstrate the problem. The site has several mini-directories of topic based resources - for example see this link: hidden link
The screenshots attached show (1) what it looks like on the front end (incorrectly) using the Divi default theme and (2) what that same page looks like in the Theme Customizer in WordPress, which is what we expect to see.
Again, we have seen this before but previously we only needed to refresh the page to fix it. I suspect part of my problem now involves the hosting services cache service which I will deal with but I would like to understand why this is happening at all. It only seems to happen on pages involving Toolset.
I will do the usual plugin-conflict check and will post here again if it helps but I don't this will resolve this issue.
Ok please update me what you found as without access or without having duplicator copy of your site its just impossible to guide you or check whats going wrong with your setup.
