I inadvertently updated Toolset Forms yesterday and now one view on the site is producing a fatal error, see below.

I'm guessing this may because I now have old and new versions of Toolset plugins coexisting. But I'm concerned that updating the remaining plugins could break the site even more.

I restored the WP database to a version from earlier but the new version of Forms is still there.

Advice?

Hi Brent,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

It seems that there might've been an issue with the automatic update.

What I recommend that you do is to download the plugin manually from the page below and then upload it to your site.

Should I try re-installing the latest version or roll back to the older version? I can't recall which version I was using now.

Hi Brent,

You should re-install the latest version.

Thanks,

I manually installed Forms. Still getting the fatal error.

Hi, Shane is on public holiday today so I'll try to help. You have two options it seems:
- Update all Toolset plugins to the latest versions, or
- Revert your database back to a point in your site's history before you updated Forms inadvertently, then replace any updated Toolset plugins with the versions you had installed before updating. You can find previous versions by clicking "Changelog & previous versions" under any plugin here:
https://toolset.com/account/downloads
Or by visiting the WordPress plugin dashboard for Types here (only Types):
https://toolset.com/home/types-manage-post-types-taxonomy-and-custom-fields/advanced/

Troubleshooting fatal error problems with outdated versions of our plugins is mostly pointless. Our developers will not address bugs or conflicts in outdated versions of the software, only issues that exist in the latest versions. So updating the Toolset plugin suite now is probably best for your site's long-term stability. We can address any issues that come up. Make a full database and site files backup before this update, so you can revert with confidence if anything goes wrong.
