Toolset custom fields are not showing up in Divi's dynamic content settings

This support ticket is created 4 years ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I want to use custom fields with Divi, but Toolsets custom fields are not showing up. I'm having this problem on multiple websites. ACF on the other hand works fine. See this screen recording: hidden link

Hi Marcel,

Thank you for getting in touch. Generally these dynamic field options are maintained by Divi and if our fields aren't showing up then it could be a case where Divi doesn't support our fields for dynamic options.

However what you can try first is to populate your fields with some data and then try to access them using the divi dynamic options. If this doesn't work then I would recommend that you get in touch with the Divi team for further assistance.

This issue is sort of solved. Apparently, in Divi, you have to add "pages" to "appears on post types" in the custom field group settings, AND add some content to the custom fields on a page. Only then, the fields will appear in Divi.

That's not how it's supposed to work, so I consider this to be a bug.
