Toolset and Elementor not showing the image from comparison widget

This support ticket is created 5 years, 9 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Hi im just curious if it's my settings configuration or its just that this widget doesnt support showing image on a different post type.

First of, here is my setup to give you an idea.

I created 3 Toolset custom post type
Projects - as my parent
Consultants - child ( one to many relationship to Projects )
Clients - child ( one to many relationship to Projects )
Projects Updates - child ( one to one relationship to Projects )

I have a Elementor Single page template design.

What I am facing right now is that, if i am pulling a custom field from Projects Updates post type using the Dynamic shortcode, it does not show the image that I am pulling unless the custom field is a text. Though its working fine using View Toolset widget.

But,

I am trying to use this comparison widget which needs 2 images access thru dynamic. The original image is actually working fine using dynamic accessing from (Projects post type) while the modified image is not showing up using dynamic accessing from (Projects Updates post type) *i did try unformatted, raw, shortcodes but no luck.

The reason why I separate the original image custom field (Projects post type) and modified image custom field ( Projects Updates post type) is that the Projects post type will be visible only to admin, and the Projects Updates post type will be visible to designated coordinator assigned to the project.

With this issue, is there a fix using that comparison widget? or any recommendation?

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

So i believe I understand the issue here. The problem is that the Widget isn't displaying the new image that you uploaded through that widget?

So its the modify image not showing up. Since this is using the Elementor widget I would suggest getting in touch with their team since they would know more about how this widget works and what are the limitations of the widget.
