I am adding Field Groups and for each field group the toggle stays open. It won't close the group making it very cumbersome to edit or work with...a lot of scrolling.

On the training site, the field groups will toggle closed when you are no longer working on them.

Not working on my real site. (see screenshots for reference)

Hi Chris,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

Actually this one seems like a plugin conflict and as such I would recommend that you temporarily disable all your non-toolset plugins and try again.

Thanks,
Shane

As I am sure you understand, the plugins I use are viable to the site layout and functionality. I can NOT deactivate all the numerous plugins. They are all working correctly. I need a different option to fix the toggle behavior as this is obviously a Toolset issue.

My theme is a Divi theme if that assists your troubleshooting. Also the only Toolset plugins activated are Types and Views. I will not be using Layouts, CRED, Access, Divi Integration or any other Toolset plugins as they break my site layout. I only need Types and Views.

I appreciate your assistance.

Hi Chris,

Would you mind providing me with admin access to the website so that I can have a more detailed look at the issue ?

Maybe the error being generated can provide some clue as to the exact issue.

The private fields have been enabled.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Chris,

This is definitely a plugin conflict.

Would you mind me creating a clone of your website for further testing using the duplicator plugin?

This way i can go through and let you know what exactly is causing the issue.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Chris,

So I did some tests on the duplicator package and found that the issue is from the child theme.

The divi parent theme works fine but the child theme is causing this issue to occur. There must be some javascript code that is causing this problem and its a bit difficult to track down since there are no errors in the console.

Do you have any idea of coding that was added to the child theme that could be causing this ?

Thanks,
Shane

Hi, Shane...

Thank you for your assistance.

I am using the Divi Children Engine plugin for my child theme.

The only coding added to the child theme you can see in the php files under the EDITOR section. The Divi toggles work on the site. So not sure why Toolset toggles are not working.

I appreciate your continued assistance in troubleshooting this issue.

Hi Chris,

As I was able to replicate the problem on a clean install as well with your Child theme. I went ahead and escalated the issue so that it can be further debugged by our 2nd tier supporters.

For now I would suggest using the Parent theme until a solution is found.

Thanks,
Shane

Thank you, Shane, for your wonderful customer support. The Divi theme updates so frequently, almost daily, that using the Parent Theme is not an option. I have too many customizations that would be lost.

For now, I will just deal with the cumbersome scrolling on Toolset Fields page, as the rest of Toolset is working perfectly.

I look forward to your findings.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for the patience.

So I have some not so good news for you. Since the issue is caused by the child theme and not by the parent we are unable to debug this issue for you.

The problem is that the issue could be caused by any of the custom code that was added to the child theme so we are unable to debug this one for you.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi, Shane...

Thank you for your information. I switched to a "blank" child theme instead of the child theme plugin I was using. The close toggles are now working.

I appreciate your troubleshooting this issue for me.
