When I add a related post (create new) within the WordPress edit mode, the TinyMCE is very limited and has no additional buttons (from other plugins).

I need the WIRIS Editor to be available here (Plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/equation-editor/)

Can I somehow hook the TinyMCE in this form to also enable this plugin?

I really need this!

Thank you very much!

Hi Manuel,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

I suspect that the plugin you are referring to only hooks to the editors on the backend.

Unless the plugin can operate on the frontend then it wouldn't be possible to hook it into the editors on the form.

I would recommend contacting the support forum of the plugin to see if that is possible.

Thanks,
Shane

This is not in the frontend. It is the backend.

Hi Manuel,

I tested this on the backend and the editor that is made with our plugin does get the equation editor added to it.

Does this not work for you ? It works fine for me on the backend

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Shane

I'm sure you didn't understand that this only happens when you add a related post within a post.

Look at the attached image.. when you click 'add new XY post', there is a popup form like in the image I attached earlier (however, I will attach it again). In THIS form, there are no additional shortcodes. Only default TinyMCE.

Got it? 🙂

Hi Manuel,

I understand the issue clearly now.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this. From what I can see we, the Equation Editor plugin only loads to the editor on the initial page load.

However since the related posts Editors are being loaded dynamically after this then it won't show up. The Equation Editor would need to be constantly listening out for when a new WYSIWYG editor in order for it to add the option to the editor.

The Equation Editor team would need to look at this from their end.

Thanks,
Shane
