Since I installed Toolset, I'm getting this 'There has been a critical error on your website.' error. If I deactivate toolset, it's gone.
If I refresh page its gone. It doesn't always happen but at least 60% of the time, that i have to refresh to get the page to load.
Hello, if there is a sporadic server problem then we need to get some additional information. Please turn on server logs so we can get more details about this error. If you are unfamiliar with server logs, I can show you how to activate them temporarily. Go in your wp-config.php file and look for
define('WP_DEBUG', false);
Change it to:
define('WP_DEBUG', true);
Then add these lines, just after the WP_DEBUG line:
define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', dirname(__FILE__) . '/error_log.txt');
define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );
@ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );
define('WP_DISABLE_FATAL_ERROR_HANDLER',true);
Now reload the homepage with Toolset active several times. If the server error is generated, this will create an error_log.txt file in your site's root directory. Please download and open that file with any text editor. Copy its contents and paste them in your next reply for me to review. Once that is done, you can revert the changes you made to wp-config.php and delete the log file.

Okay thank you, while the PHP notices and warnings should be resolved, they are most likely not responsible for the critical error message. The main issue I see in these logs is a recurring fatal error caused by a lack of available memory:

128M is on the low end of the memory requirements for Toolset, so if you add in other plugins you'll likely exceed those limits. You can try adding some configurations to your wp-config.php file, or modifying the existing configurations, to increase that available memory. First check in wp-config.php to see if WP_MEMORY_LIMIT or WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT are included anywhere in the file. If you find them, modify those values to be 256M. If not, add the two lines here to your wp-config.php file, just before it says "That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging":

Then run a few more tests to see if the critical errors are still occurring. If so, then we may need to get your hosting company involved to increase the amount of memory available for WordPress and PHP.
