Tell us what you are trying to do? Update the themes starter

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Wingcollector.com

We hostgator attempted to update php to 7.4.. I had many page failures. They reverse the php to current level and indicated the fault was coming from the two toolset themes. They suggested to get thise updated and then try to update the PHP.

Your site is running an insecure version of PHP (5.6.30), which should be updated.

What is PHP and how does it affect my site?

PHP is the programming language used to build and maintain WordPress. Newer versions of PHP are created with increased performance in mind, so you may see a positive effect on your site’s performance. The minimum recommended version of PHP is 7.4.

Hi Jaime,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Unfortunately our Toolset Starter theme is no longer being supported and isn't available for use anymore. I would recommend switching to a different theme given that our Toolset starter theme is deprecated and is no longer being supported.

This has been so for quite some time now, I believe the theme was removed since 2018.

Thanks,
Shane

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, I am not a developer and the original developer is not longer working. Is it possible to recommended a replacement theme or is this theme required? If disable, will the site crash? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated….

Hi Jaime,

It depends on how integrated the theme is with the whole function of the site.

What I mean is if the original developer added custom functions to the theme that is being used on the site itself.

I would recommend setting up the site on a test server and then change the theme to perhaps the Astra theme and see if your website still functions as intended.

At this point I cannot say switching the theme won't crash the site.

Thanks,
Shane
