The theme I am using, Rosewood by ThemeRex, has a sticky header which, on pages, blog posts, and their custom post types, shrinks in size when you scroll down. However, when I scroll down on a single page of a custom post type created with Toolset, the header stays the same size when you scroll (though if you reload the page having already scrolled down, it will load at the shrunk size).

Page that works: hidden link
Custom Post Type Signle that doesnt' work: hidden link

Hi Dave

I see the problem. I also note that if you scroll to the very bottom if the problem page then the header effect occurs. It note too that it is implemented with JavaScript.

It would probably be easier for me to investigate if I could get access to your site to review the setup. Would that be possible?

Let me mark your next reply as private so that I can get log-in credentials from you—you may want to create a temporary admin user for me to use that you can later delete. And be sure to have a current backup of your site.

Thanks for the access.

I've been nosing around, looking through the theme settings, but I can't see where the sticky header is configured.

Could you point me in the direction of where and how you have set this up?

It doesn't really have options for this header, it's just their theme default header. You can set it to a different header builder or this default one in Customize -> Header and also in Appearance -> Theme Options -> Header. The different header builder seems a little buggy and hard to set up, so I'd prefer to use the default one.

Sorry for the delay getting back to you, I was off yesterday.

I was struggling to recreate the problem you describe on my own test site, the header worked the same whether viewing a custom post or any other page.

So I went back to your site, and I noted you are using a child theme, and I briefly switched to the parent theme.

Then the issue disappeared, the same header effect occurred on the custom posts as on regular pages.

So the problem arises with something in your child theme.

We can't debug child themes, I'm afraid.

I suggest you go through the customisations provided by the child theme (in the PHP files or the CSS files) to see if there is anything that pertains specifically to custom posts, to see if you can isolate what in particular introduces the problem.

You were right, it was something in my CSS. I found it and fixed the issue - thanks for your help!
