I am trying to: Add customs range of values via the standard visual interface of Toolset Block Version 1.6.2

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: able to add in custom values for price data field

Instead, I got: no custom data field is saved.

Hi Feiko,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Can you let me know step by step how to replicate this issue ? I see that you've provided the login details but without the steps to see/replicate the issue i'm not sure where to begin looking.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Thank you for the reply.
We are using the standard setup.
- Homepage with standard toolset view
- Within the view we use the Custom Search Filter
- In the CSF we want to show a Max Price (and also a Min Price) dropdown
- In this Dropdown we use the Field Settings and select the available Using Manual Entered Values options
- Here is the problem, any Manual Entered Value is NOT saved

Thank you,
Feiko

Hi Feiko,

Thank you for the patience. I've got some information from our 2nd tier team.

This is actually a known issue and we have an erratas page below about it.
https://toolset.com/errata/choosing-manual-options-for-custom-search-filter-provokes-js-error/

Unfortunately there isn't a solution at this moment in time so for now you will need to use the predetermined values that will be auto generated from the data that has been entered in the custom field.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Thank you for the update.
We will have to wait for the golive of the site for this then, I cannot show the auto generated values.

Any alternatives?
Any time indication, a week? a month?

Thank you!

Hi Fieko,

The only other alternative I can think of is that you rebuild your view using the classic editor. I've tested this in the classic editor on my end and it works.

If the classic view hasn't been enabled you can enable it by going to Toolset -> Settings and scrolling to Editing Experience. From there I recommend that you select " Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build".

This will allow you to have access to the classic editor as well as the block editor. From there refresh the page and go to Toolset -> Views.

From there you will need to completely rebuild your view.

Thanks,
Shane
