Dear support team,

I recently switched WordPress settings to allow email as username, and now when a user try to save his profile with the cred user form he got this message :
The username can only contain alphanumeric characters, dashes or underscores

I guess this is because @ and . are not allowed in the username, but how to overcome this issue?

Thank you

Hi Florian,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

So you only want the user to enter their emails for their usernames or their emails are used as their username?

If so on the Cred form you should be able to just set your form to autogenerate the username or remove the field completely from your form.

Thanks,
Shane

My issue is resolved now, I remove the field because anyway username can not be edited. Thank you!
