I am trying to: I have a custom post type named "Brands - Partners" with slug "brand". I also have an archive page which displays all brands. I use the Breadcrumb NavXT plugin to display the breadcrumbs. In the archive page of brands, the breadcrumb should be: Home > Brands - Partners > And this was in the beginning. However, a few days ago I noticed that the breadcrumb is Home > Brands - Partners > CPAchem where "CPAchem" is the title of a brand

Somehow, the admin access details you shared is not accessible at this end. Can you please resend that later once you try the following hints.
Toolset do not control the Breadcrumb and as you already acknowledged that the breadcrumbs are displayed using the plugin "Breadcrumb NavXT" - have you updated that plugin? what if you check the settings of the breadcrumb and see if you notice anything that needs fix in order to display the breadcrumb as pre your desired format.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
I see the Breadcrumb is displayed using the Breadcrumb Trail block and with that block I've disable the setting "Ignore the breadcrumb cache" and I can see it working as expected:
