[Resolved] the site key is not working

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user was having trouble registering their Toolset Plugins.

Solution:

To correctly register your Toolset plugins I highly recommend following the instructions in the documentation link below exactly.
https://toolset.com/faq/how-to-install-and-register-toolset/#automatic-installation-once-you-have-types-plugin-installed

If not followed exactly then the registration of your plugins may not work.

Hi,

1. WP is updated to the latest version
2. The toolset types site key does not work? says it not correct?
3. checked ur site for the site key and copied that key but does not work?
4. removed types and the added site key again... same error?
5. Shows the following error: You are using an unregistered version of Toolset and are not receiving compatibility and security updates. When i register it I get the error incorrect site key.....

Q: Is ur site key duplicated somehow?

Thanks

Hi Mel,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Are you currently running the latest version of our Toolset Types plugin ? If not then I would advise that you update it from the link below.
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

Once you've done this please re-register your site by following the instructions exactly as it is written.
https://toolset.com/faq/how-to-install-and-register-toolset/#automatic-installation-once-you-have-types-plugin-installed

Please let me know if the issue still remains after doing this.

Thanks,
Shane

invalid-site-key.jpg

Hi,

1.installed the latest types and tried to enter the site key...

2. Still get the same error? see uploaded image.. when I register the plugin.

3. The only change I made the past week or so was to update my SMTP mail which is working fine.

Is it possible the toolset site is out of sync with old domain names of the sites I have? I change all my sites to xxxx.site from
xxxxx.org a few weeks ago.

Thanks
Mel

Hi Mel,

Thank you for the screenshot.

Would you mind allowing me to have admin access to the site so that I can have a look at what is happening here ?

I've enabled the private fields for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Mel,

Thank you for the credentials, however i'm unable to login. I'm getting the message that the account has been disabled.

Can you check on this for me and let me know when I can access the site.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Mel,

I see the problem. The site isn't registered with the correct URL. The instructions in the link below explains how to get the correct URL for your site.
https://toolset.com/faq/how-to-install-and-register-toolset/#automatic-installation-once-you-have-types-plugin-installed

Particularly it mentions that at #3 you should click "Get a key for this site ". This button will automatically send the correct URL to our servers to register the site.

Currently I see that your site is registered on our system as "hidden link" when it should be "melsdevgroup.site"

Please follow the instructions in the tutorial exactly to correctly register the site. I followed the same and was able to successfully register the site with my account.

Thanks,
Shane
