The Preview is not showing in the admin editor. It's showing a "There were no posts found to display for this View's query."

we have tried to fix this issue by updating to the plugin, but not work.

Also, we have to find a solution in the documentation but we can't find any documentation for this.

Hello,

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://toolset.com/privacy-policy-and-gdpr-compliance/#data-shared-with-our-support
**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hi there,

Thank you for providing the website credentials.

We have just checked the website, but we're not so sure about how to see the issue, exactly. May I kindly ask you to point us to the correct step-by-step in order to experience it?

Please keep us posted. Thanks!

Hi

Very simple step to follow this.

Go to Admin >> Pages >> Edit "Pel·lícules en català" (Front Page) page.

You can edit this page, you can show issues on the editor.

I attached a screenshot for your more info.

Please check this, and let me know anything else.

Thank you

Hey there,

Thank you for the clarifications.

Could you please tell us what exactly are you trying to display with those two views? hidden link. We can check that there is nothing chosen on their 'Content Selection' section.

If possible, please use the Loom service and record a video of you showing when the issue happens: hidden link

Thanks for your understanding.

Dear Toolset Team,

I think you are not interested in fixing my issue because you already know what's the issue. Just replied to me with simple messages like sharing your path, screenshot, video etc.

I have already explained my issue in the first massage. The main issue is that "The Preview is not showing in the admin editor" and it's showing a "There were no posts found to display for this View's query."

This type of issue already generates in your toolset plugin. Eg. https://toolset.com/forums/topic/getting-this-message-there-were-no-posts-found-to-display-for-this-views-query/ and also see https://toolset.com/forums/topic/view-block-issue-there-were-no-posts-found-to-display-for-this-views-query/ and your support staff will fix this issue.

Here I share a video for your more information: hidden link (you can download by this URL)

You have already taken 4 working days for this issue.

Please do fast action on my issue. Sorry for the hard word.

Thank you

Hey there,

Thank you for the clarifications and sorry about this back and forth. We want to help you, it is just because we didn't know what exactly we should check, so we couldn't debug it properly.

Now we have successfully managed to reproduce the issue. We checked this out but so far we couldn't find a fix for it. I asked my colleagues to have a look at this issue in order to see if there's anything I'm missing.

I'll come back here as soon as one of my colleagues reply back to me (which it shouldn't take long).

Thanks,
Mateus.

Hi there

Let me reply directly to you as Mateus won't be available for another couple of hours.

He raised the issue which I have looked into.

I downloaded a copy of your site to install locally for testing.

I can see the issue with the broken Views blocks that is hampering editing and saving the page, but I don't have a very good solution for you.

The fourth View on the page—Noticies 02—appears to be intact and working normally.

But the database entries for the other 3 Views appears to be corrupted, and in such a scenario they cannot be fixed. I don't know the detailed history of the site to explain why they became corrupted.

I was able to restore the functionality of editing and updating the page by switching to the Code Editor (to show the underlying HTML which comprises the page content) and editing that to remove the references to the 3 problem View blocks.

The page then worked and could be edited, and changes saved (though, of course, it is missing the output from the 3 Views).

From that position, I was able to insert View blocks and choose to use existing Views, and insert the 3 Views back into the page, and that appeared to be successful.

Except that the View blocks are just referencing a version of the View, and the View itself cannot be edited. That should be okay if you don't need to make any changes to the View, but means that you cannot make any changes to the View settings, including styling the output.

If you do need to make any changes then I'm afraid you will need to recreate the Views, by inserting a View block and starting again (after deleting the existing Views).

As I've already edited the source to remove the problem View blocks on the copy of your site I pasted the content here so you can copy and paste that into your page (in Code Editor mode) to replace the existing content: https://pastebin.com/rJ2YFuUB

(If you need help let me know and I can do it directly on your site.)

I'm sorry I don't have a solution that rescues the existing Views to make them editable.

Hi Nigel,

==> can you please create this temporary view to my website and let me know which page you created and preview correctly?

Second, due to this issue we had paid just recently the subscription, actually there was a notice on wp-admin to register again for any support and renew subscription. otherwise this tool was received with theme bundle and work fine it self in past. Please check this attachment.

I am glad to answer any question you may have! Awaiting your kind reply!

I can make the same changes to your live site that I made to my local copy of your site.

>> let me know which page you created

I would not be creating a new page, I would be editing the existing front page of the site. (That is the page where you have the problem, yes?)

I logged in, but you are currently editing that page. Please make sure you have a current backup before I edit the page.

As for the second question about the notice about registering Toolset, when I visit your site it shows that Toolset is registered, and the notice is not shown, so I guess you did this yourself recently.

OK, I've done that, I think I have replaced the Views in the correct position, if you can verify that.
