[Resolved] The “Loading Gif” is missing

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
When using infinite scrolling no "loading" GIF is showing when reaching the end of the current results before the next results are shown.

Solution:
This is expected with the default settings to pre-load the next page of results. If this is disabled then the loading GIF is shown while the next page of results are queried.

Hi Toolset Team,

I created a view, the posts pagination is an infinite scroll, so when user scroll to the bottom, the posts will automatically load more with the loading gif icon.

But as you can see the video below, the loading gif is missing.

Hi there

I tested this and found the same, no loading gif is shown.

I've escalated this so that my colleagues can identify why and hopefully provide a fix.

I'll keep you posted.

Hi Wilfred

You are pre-loading the next results, in which case the results are updated on the screen without waiting for a network request to retrieve the next page of results, hence no spinner is shown. (A network request is made, but to pre-load the next page of results.)

If you disable pre-loading the next results then the loading gif is triggered.
