Words with special character.png

Hello,
I have an issue when adding word including special character like this ( ' )
for example if i add a word like " it's " after submitting the form and in the post itself it looks like following:
" it\'s "

It always add extra " \ ". I am not sure what causing this. please see Attached image for better understanding.

I have tried to submit a Toolset Form and pass several values with apostrophes but they are not over-escaped in my tests

Can you outline the precise steps you take to make this happen and eventually include an export of Toolset > Import/Export of the involved Forms and Post Types, fields, etc?
We can then quickly rebuild that locally and feedback an eventual solution

You could share those files in google or dropbox link, links are masked here in the forum for the other users, so it's not shown to anyone but us

Hi Beda,
I have made a copy of the site. so you can test this out.

you can see the issue on following page, please see attached image (Error-Views):
hidden link

if you want to edit this Ad follow this link, please see attached image (Error-add-Taxonomy):
hidden link

please look for the same part of the form that fit with image "Error-add-Taxonomy" and try to add new Taxonomy Term with special character like ( ' ). after saving the form you will notice that an extra ( / ) has been created. and if you try to edit the form again you will see that the new term that you created has now an extra ( / ) .

Thank you

Hi, thanks for the extra information. I'm actually able to reproduce this problem on my own local environment, so I don't think it's specific to your site. I'm escalating this to my 2nd Tier team for additional investigation and resolution. I'll let you know as soon as I have something to share. For now, it appears that manual intervention is necessary in wp-admin to remove the escaping backslash from the term name.

Hi, I don't have anything new to share at this time. I've updated the internal ticket to see if I can get a status update and I'll let you know what I find out.

In my absence last week, an erratum post was published regarding this issue:
https://toolset.com/errata/apostrophe-character-not-escaped-for-term-names-added-through-a-toolset-form/
At this time, there is no known workaround but I will keep this ticket updated as I receive more information.
