Tell us what you are trying to do?
I'm helping building a site for a client (hidden link) and they have a custom search view which is pretty basic. Some selects and a free text search field.
They asked me to add another taxonomy to the search (hidden link) and make it a tag box. For this I use select2 (www.select2.org) and it works quiet nicely. I found one issue though and I removed all the select2 code already to verify that its not an issue with this.
The problem is that I have the search on the storybank page as well as on the story itself. On the story though, the select is missing entries. Compare for example the dropdown on the storybank search vs one of the stories. Stories with no assigned term show all the terms but if a story has a term assigned, its now showing in the select.
Whats going on here? For me this seems like a bug in toolset. Filtering should not be applied here since the search brings you back to the storybank site so a user should be able to filter for all terms and not only those not assigned to the post.
Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
Well - could you please tell me which taxonomy term is missing on which page? Please share problem URL and access details so that I can look at your issue with your expected output.
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I would additionally need your permission to de- and re-activate Plugins and the Theme, and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is really important. If you agree to this, please use the form fields I have enabled below to provide temporary access details (wp-admin and FTP).
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
