I want to do a Taxonomy dropdown in a cred form, but it is an optional field, so I want the first option to be "null". When I tried this, it ignores these two parameters:
value='' select_text='-- select --'

And just shows the first Taxonomy already filled into the dropdown select. It works for a force_type='field' but not a force_type='taxonomy'. This is what I was trying:

[cred_field field='national-league-affiliation' force_type='taxonomy' output='bootstrap' display='select' single_select='true' value='' select_text='-- select --']

Hi Susan,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

Taxonomies operate differently from custom fields so an option like this won't work. You will need to add a default taxonomy term to the list in order for you to get this option.

Since its on a CRED form.

Thanks,
Shane
