Hello,
I built a website for my client as a stand-alone WordPress instance. I used Toolset to create custom post types called Topics and Organizations which are used to dynamically render content on my pages. My client has asked me to expand the website to meet the needs of other members of their community so I need to switch to WordPress multi-site. What I need to know is whether I can have all my Toolset content at the top parent level and reference it at the sub-site level or must it all be build and referenced at the sub-site level?

Hi Alex,

Thank you for getting in touch. Essentially if you switch to a multisite then your different wordpress instances will be self contained, so no data is shared between them.

You aren't able to use Toolset from the Parent site to manage the other sub site. You will need to edit each independently.

I hope I was able to provide some clarity for you.
Thanks,
Shane
