[Resolved] Still having problems while exporting (corrupted file)

This support ticket is created 3 years, 9 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Trying to export views and types

Followed previous instructions:
set php execution time to 300 and file size upload limit to 20mb. restarted apache and php.
That did not help.

Further on I de-activated all plugins except Toolset. That didn't help either.

Now I wonder what to do next 🙂

The views and types components that you're exporting can you let me know how you're doing it?

Also would you mind allowing me to have admin access to the site so that I can test this out as well.

I tried to log in but its asking for a verification code.

Are you able to disable the 2FA on the toolset account that you've provided so that I can check on this for you ?

Hi Janet,

I can confirm that the zip files are indeed corrupted or rather being sent in an unsupported format. This is definitely an issue with the server so the first thing I would do is to check if the latest ziparchive module is installed on your server and then try again.

You can consult with your hosting provider for further checks on the ziparchive module.

Update: I changed the php version to 8 and now I get an XML file. On importing though, I get an error:

Error parsing XML
Error on line 2: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document
Data not valid

Feel free to have al look again. 🙂

I will try to perform an XML export to confirm whether or not this is due to your server configurations.

Can you downgrade your php version back to version 7 so that I can use the duplicator plugin to grab the copy of the site ?

Hi Janet,

My apologies for not responding sooner. I'm still not sure what is causing this issue, however I do suspect that the site might be corrupted in some way that is producing the faulty zip files for our Toolset plugins.

Is it a cause where you're moving your entire site or just moving over the Toolset data structure?

I might possibly need to escalate this one to our 2nd tier supporters for further debugging.

Also can you let me know when did you first notice the issue ?
