Tell us what you are trying to do?

Adjust spacing between single field lines

Hi! I've added some 'fields and text' blocks and the spacing looks on in the editor (left side image) but on the front there is no space between them, and I haven't been able to find an area to adjust that.

I tried looking through the support site and forum, but am still coming up short. Could you point me in the right direction?
Thank you!

Hi David

Some themes reproduce their styles in the block editor, others not, and it looks like your theme styles are not applied on the back end, so the issue is not so much that it looks right on the back end and wrong on the front end, but rather that the back-end editor doesn't reflect what will actually appear on the front end. In particular the line-spacing styles are off.

When selecting the Field and Text block you should be able to open the Style Settings in the sidebar where you can apply padding or margin to achieve the spacing you require.

(You might also find that the Fields and Text block—as a wysiwyg editor—is overkill to output a simple field. I assume you use it rather than the Single Field block because you want to be able to add a label. Try using just a paragraph block to add the label and then inline dynamic content via the little button shown in the screenshot.)

Perfect thanks! I didn't know about the inline dynamic content, so thanks for mentioning that.

I have another question...not sure if it's ok to ask here, so if not you can close this and I can open another ticket.

I have a book website where 'books' are the custom post type, publication date, author, etc. are custom fields, and genre are taxonomies.

I'm unsure of the best approach to book series. Example - 'Harry Potter books 1-7'. How should I build that so I can dynamically list that series on each of the individual book pages.

Ex: 'this is book 3 in the Harry Potter series' and have the other books in the series listed there as well. If there is an optimal way of doing that let me know.

Thanks!
