[Resolved] Sorting search result by custom fields

This support ticket is created 5 years, 5 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Hi,

I want to sort a searched result by a custom fields named 'sponsor-date'. I'm use relevansi for searching. The image is my search result.

How to make a first sort and second sort like sort view function?

When visitors use the text search then the results are ordered by Relevanssi, which overrides your Views settings, as is explained in the small info box when editing a View that includes a text search when Relevanssi is active.

If the visitors use a different filter than the text search, then the results should respect your Views settings, where you can specify ordering by custom fields.
