Is there any documentation that you are following? No

Is there a similar example that we can see? No

For some reason, the random sort order isn't working. There is no caching on the page.

Can you please share admin access details so I can check why random order is not working with your view.

I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I see you are using the WP Engine hosting and on the following page within the "Advance options" the "Allow ORDER BY RAND()" is disabled:
