The sorting system does not work properly on the page : hidden link
Everything was still working yesterday but nothing has changed on the site, do you know where this bug can come from?

Thank you in advance for your precious help

Hi Olivier

What do you mean by sorting? You mean the order?

The posts on that page are ordered by date, ascending, it appears to me, which would be a setting in your View.

I don't see any front-end sorting controls to change the order.

There are filter controls to filter the search results. I'm not familiar with the data but they appear to work. I selected "Teen stay" and the results updated to show one post which appears to match.

HI Nigel,

yes I'm talking about the filter, when I click on an element, the filter works but if I deselect, it does not work anymore. An example in attached image

OK, I see it.

There is a JS error when de-selecting a filter.

Can I get debug info from you?

I just updated the plugin types to have access to the debugging information and the site is down.

That sounds like you were probably using old versions of the plugins and by updating Types you have mixed plugin vintages and that has created an error.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Do you know what version of Types you just updated from?

You can download a copy of the same version from your downloads page: wp-types.com/account/downloads

Then use FTP to delete the current installed version and replace it with the prior version.

That should get your site working again.

From the plugins page can you tell me which versions you are using of the Toolset plugins?

If they are older versions you should update them all to the current versions.

Take a backup first, and then deactivate all of the Toolset plugins, then update them, then re-activate them.

This kind of thing would only be expected to happen when you leap-frog quite a few plugin versions, rather than continuously update.

Hi Nigel,
I can't update the plugin. I use types 1.8.6.2.
When i desactive all the plugin and update them, the site breaks again.
what can I do more ?

If you can't provide debug info can I get access to your site so that I can look at what you have installed and see if I can identify and possible problems?

I'll mark your next reply as private—you may want to create a temporary admin user for me to use that you can later delete.

And be sure to have a current backup of your site.

Hi Olivier

Sorry, I hadn't realised this was such an old site. You are using WP 4.4.15 (current 4.9.5) and all of your plugin versions are very old.

We don't support such old versions, I'm afraid.

If it was working correctly a few days ago but no longer is then something must have changed, maybe something minor, a security update for your old version of WordPress or an update of another plugin or a library used by WordPress itself or one of the plugins. You could try to revert to a backup of a previous version (but if the issue were that WordPress or one of your plugins is using the latest version of a library (rather than an older, fixed version) then that could be something that has triggered a change.

In any case, all I can offer is to help if you go ahead and update WordPress and your Toolset plugins to the current versions and you find some things stop working.

I suggest on a staging site you update WordPress, deactivate and then delete each of the Toolset plugins, then install the current versions by downloading the zip files from toolset.com/account/downloads and uploading them on the add plugins page.

If you then find certain things not working let me know and I can take a look.
