[Resolved] Sort by distance beetween 2 posts

This support ticket is created 4 years, 8 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I have "location" post type with addressed custom field
I would like to show nearest locations by the current one post

Hi Alessandro,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Unfortunately you are not able to have a distance filter between 2 address custom fields.

The distance filter works by getting the user's current location and comparing it to the address field of the post.

This would need to be a feature request and as such I would recommend that you open one by filling out the form in the link below.

We don't have a specific API for this particular setup but you can take a look at the documentation we have below.
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/maps/

You will perhaps need to look more directly at the google maps API for a direct solution.
