We have been using Toolset on hidden link for quite some time and have noticed that some member pages are redirecting to either the home page or random pages.
A member page that is accessed without logging n should redirect to a 404 page like this:
hidden link
However some member pages are not redirecting correctly even though the page has been assigned to the correct post group.
hidden link redirects to the home page.
hidden link redirects to a news page
hidden link goes to a member event page.
The website has the redirection plugin installed, however I cannot find any redirections that could be causing this. I have disabled all plugins and themes to isolate the issue and it seems to be related to Elementor. When Elementor is activated it does not redirect correctly on the pages above. Other pages redirect fine. As soon as I disable Elementor all psges redirect fine.
I have migrated the website to the staging site and tested and I am still getting the same issue. The staging site has server caching disabled so it is not a caching issue.
I have provided access to the staging site for you to test and investigate.
I provided all backend access when I created this ticket. The login details I provided including your login credentials are for a staging site. You can make any changes that you need to make including deactivating plugins.
If you cannot access the FTP and wp access details provided please let me know and I will provide them again.
Access isn't issue as i'm able to access the backend of the site. My issue is that i'm having difficulties finding the backend pages of the link that you provided in your initial post.
Having the backend links will allow me to debug the issue faster.
The pages as mentioned in the original ticket post are:
hidden link redirects to the home page.
hidden link redirects to a news page
hidden link goes to a member event page.
They can be found by going to the admin > pages.
It looks like the client has renamed International Education > International Network. See screenshot.
If you are logged in to the admin and visit any of the of the original links I provide you should be able to edit the pages from the admin top bar also.
On the test site I was able to identify that the issue is coming from the page itself and not the post group. When I created a new page and added it to the post group then the page displays the appropriate 404 error which requests the user to log in.
If possible I would recommend recreating the pages under a different slug and once completed you can just delete the original pages and change the slug of the new pages to the original page's slugs.
