[Resolved] Slider using Ajax displays wrong language in IE and firefox

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that whenever the user is viewing his translated page and the AJAX slider paginates then the posts are not translated anymore.

Solution:

This could be caused by the AJAX cookie settings not being enabled.

Take a look at the link below and this should be able to assist you.

I am trying to: display custom posts in a views slider in two languages (german and english)

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: only the translated versions of the posts on the english site

Instead, I got: the first slide is in english. the following slides are in german. In my Chrome browser it seems to work alright. But some visitors report the same problem with chrome.

Hello! As I wrote in my text..... In chrome everything is fine. It's just edge and Firefox!
Please don't push me to the end of the waiting line now.... I really need to fix this problem very fast. My client is not amused.
Any help appreciated. But please don't test in Chrome again. Thanks and best regards Hannes

Hi Hannes,

I took a look at this again for you and did the following to resolve the issue.
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/enabling-language-cookie-to-support-ajax-filtering/

This setting needed to have been enabled.

I've checked it in firefox and the correct language is being loaded after the filter.

Please let me know if this works on your end.

Thanks,
Shane
