I recently had to include a dynamic gallery with a repeating image field for one of my websites when I realised that pretty much nothing works as expected nowadays. I tried gallery block, slider block.. what a disappointment.
Initially I wanted to generate a slider with the option of showing a big image on top of the thumbnails below - but no, no big image is visible.
Then I decided I'll replace that with a masonry grid gallery - duh, fail again.
I really hope your team is going to rev up the support of existing features that will not fall-off the table due to WP evolution.
I am big fan of Toolset, but unfortunately things are getting behind!
I have working websites with old versions of the software that I do not update intentionally, because I'm afraid stuff that worked in the past will just break! Unfortunately that can't be good long-term.

I created a clean installation of WordPress and Toolset. Would yo please try to add one scenario and explain there what you intend to do and what is the result so I can investigate?

Welcome to Toolset support. To test and see if the scenario happens on a clean installation (code related problem) I created a WordPress installation with Toolset.
I wonder if you can replicate the issue there to see if it happens?

Thank you for the details. The first issue must be compatibility with Kadance which is something different and we will focus on the issues at hand with Toolset image slider and gallery.
I asked the second-tier support for more information as you used another custom post type and fields inside it as sort of a setting and source of the images.
I tried to use a view and then add the image slider and it worked in one scenario.
But I will have a better answer as soon as I consult with the second tier support.
